PLAYOFFS
I am asking that the girls arrive 15-20 minutes before their game
time. We will have a special run through banner for the football
players as they enter the field. I’m sure all of the girls will like
to be a part of this. After the game they will need to turn in the
skirt that they were issued. I will have a trophy for them.

July 30, 2007
The NEFL cheer camp will be held on August 6-8 from 6:30-8:30pm. The
camp is open to all girls that are registered for cheer. There is no
cost for the camp. The camp will be held at Dillon Park which is
located at 146th & Hazel Dell behind the Kroger. We will be meeting
on the south side of the park which is on the opposite end from the
playground.
The girls need to wear shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes. No sandals
or flip flops please! Each girl should bring a water bottle or jug
marked with her name. Please do not forget this since it will be
hot!
On Wednesday, August 8th there will be a parents meeting at 7:00 to
inform you of details of the upcoming season. After the meeting the
girls will perform what they have learned at the camp for all of the
parents! The fields at Dillon Park are new and there are not
bleachers yet. You may want to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
If your child cannot make the camp or must miss a day or two, that
is okay. She will be able to catch up at practice.
At the camp we will have a table where you can order “Cheer Mom”
shirts and Cheerleader jackets for the girls. Be sure to check that
out!
Practices will begin the following week. You will be informed at
camp what night your practice will be held on. Our first game is
August 18th.
If you know of anyone else who would like to cheer, we are still
taking registration. All they need to do is go to
www.nefl.net. They can print
out the registration form and mail it in to the address listed at
the top of the form.
We are really excited about this season with all of the changes we
have made and having the wonderful new fields at Dillon Park! We are
glad your daughter has decided to join in the fun!
See you at camp!

NEFL Cheer Commissioner

May, 2007 Note from Krista Bell, our new Cheerleading
Commissioner:
My name is Krista
Bell. I am very excited to be a part of the NEFL! I am
originally from Texas, but I lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for four
years before moving to Noblesville a year and a half ago. While
in Tulsa, I was the director of a large youth cheerleading
program. It was a wonderful experience and I have truly missed
being a part of a youth program.
Being from Texas, as
a little girl I dreamed of growing up to be a Dallas Cowboys
cheerleader! I know how fun and excited it is for girls to have
the experience of standing on the sidelines cheering on their
team! I have seen the shyest girl open up when she gets pom-poms
in her hands!
We are making a lot
of exciting changes to NEFL cheer this season. One thing that I
am really excited about and I know the girls will love is that
we are teaming up with the Noblesville High School cheerleaders.
They will be running our camp in August and they will also be
working as coaches for each of the squads! I know the girls will
have a lot of fun learning from the high school cheerleaders.
Another change is
that Grinders cheer will be open to 5th and 6th
graders. The football team is for both grades so we decided that
cheer should be also. Look for more information coming about
Grinders cheer tryouts.
Communication is key
for parents. As a mom, I know how busy parents are running kids
to different activities. I will work my hardest to see that
parents receive dates and information as soon as possible.
Always feel free to contact me.
I am really looking forward to having a
wonderful, fun filled cheer season!
Please check the Forms - Dates page frequently for important updates
on dates and activities. |
