Coaches and Parents
The NEFL Board believes your child's safety is very important. Therefore, the NEFL Board requires all Board Members and Coaches associated with the NEFL submit and pass a National Background Check. The NEFL has contracted with the National Center for Safety Initiatives to administer our background checks. Follow the NCSI link to submit your background check.
NCSI - Red Light - Green Light Background Check
All reports from NCSI will be sent and monitored by the Safety Director at the NEFL as a requirement for consideration of coaching or being a board member for the NEFL.
Coaches and Parents
The NEFL Board believes that every step we take can help improve your child's safety. In an effort to better support the NEFL and the community we are offering CPR and AED training online. This is not required to coach in the NEFL but is highly recommended. All high school and middle school coaching staff are required to take it; a several board members are certified.

The 2013 rule modifications are being edited and reviewed prior to being submitted to the Board for approval. The 2013 NEFL Rules will be available late May.

In-House Coach Application Please go to registration tab and complete the on-line coach registration. Coach registration is free. Then proceed to the NCSI Red Light - Green Light Background check procedure above. All coaches must complete the background check. There is a $17 fee for the background check.
